  • Salary: £27,378 - £28,392 PA, Depending on Experience
  • Working 4 days, Monday to Thursday, 7.00am - 4.45pm, 39 hours

We are recruiting an experienced confident and courteous 7.5t Delivery Driver to join a well-established and reputable precision engineering company based in the Bury St. Edmunds area.

This role is working 39-hours, 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday.

The ideal candidate will be a pro-active individual who is able to multi-task. There will be other tasks to perform including forklift driving, stores assisting and possibly other functions around the factory.

Responsibilities

  • Represent company when delivering to customers with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Perform multi-drop deliveries within the Suffolk and surrounding counties as required.
  • Assist in loading and management of product onto the lorry bed.
  • Take responsibility for the cleanliness and daily maintenance of the vehicle to include vehicle checks and strap checks.
  • When not driving you will be required to assist the stores department in fork lifting, unloading supplier deliveries and occasional processing of material goods in.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Appropriate entitlement to drive 7.5t vehicles
  • Valid Driver CPC licence
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Proven experience driving 7.5t or similar vehicles desirable
  • Clean driving record and strong road safety awareness
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence - Desirable
  • Good time management, reliability and ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift and move packages (manual handling up to typical limits)
  • Basic numeracy and ability to complete delivery paperwork or use handheld devices
