Role: Assembly & Despatch Team Leader

Location: Deeside

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent

HRGO Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Assembly & Despatch Team Leader to join a successful manufacturing business.

This is a hands on leadership role within a busy production environment. You will manage the day to day activities of the assembly and dispatch teams, ensuring products are completed, checked, packed and delivered in line with quality, safety and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, support and organise a team across assembly and dispatch.
    • Plan daily workloads to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
    • Monitor output, productivity and quality, resolving issues as they arise.
    • Ensure manufactured sheet metal products are assembled to the required specifications.
    • Oversee order checking, packing, labelling and dispatch.
    • Work closely with production and planning teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
    • Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and safe working practices.
    • Carry out quality checks and reduce defects and rework.
    • Coach and develop team members and support new starters.
    • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and streamline processes.
    • Report on departmental performance and key operational issues.

What We're Looking For

    • Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a manufacturing, production, assembly or dispatch environment.
    • Experience within sheet metal manufacturing, fabrication or a similar engineering environment would be highly beneficial.
    • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
    • The ability to manage priorities and meet demanding production and delivery targets.
    • A good understanding of quality, health and safety and continuous improvement.
    • Competent IT skills.
