Our client are a bespoke, commercial furniture manufacturer introducing an exciting new product line and they are looking for an experienced Assembly Operative to join the team. This is a hands-on role working on high-quality, made-to-measure furniture for commercial clients.
Key responsibilities - Assemble commercial furniture using hand tools and powered equipment to meet quality and delivery standards - Confidently work with workshop machines and equipment to produce finished components, such as sanders, buffers and laminators. - Read and follow drawings and work instructions for bespoke items - Maintain a clean, organised work area and report any defects or issues - Support continuous improvement and help introduce processes for the new product line - Collaborate with colleagues to meet production schedules and client requirements
Skills and experience required - Proven experience building furniture or working in a furniture/manufacturing workshop - Competent with hand tools - Confident operating machines and comfortable learning new equipment - Hardworking, reliable and takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship - Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines - Willingness to learn and participate in training and development opportunities
