We are recruiting an Assembly Operative to join our clients busy production team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for assembling products to a high standard, ensuring accuracy, quality and consistency in every unit produced. *Experience in carpentry/woodwork would be desirable but not essential*
Key responsibilities:
Accurately assemble components and finished products following written instructions, drawings and work orders
Perform quality checks at each stage and report any defects
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workstation
Meet daily production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Assist with packing and labelling finished goods as required
Complete basic production records and follow standard operating procedures
Essential skills and experience:
Proven ability to assemble products to a high standard with strong attention to detail
Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and simple technical drawings
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is advantageous
Working conditions:
Fast-paced production environment
Standing for long periods and occasional lifting of moderate weights
Flexible shift patterns may be required depending on production needs
Please note that due to the location of the client own transport is essential.
