🌊 About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Berth Maintenance Fitter to join Maritime & Technical Services, working on the frontline of harbour operations at the Port of Ramsgate.
You'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing essential marine infrastructure-helping keep the port safe, operational, and fully functional.
🔧 Key Duties
🔍 Inspect and maintain berths, pontoons & marine structures
🛠️ Carry out repairs on walkways, moorings & harbour assets
🧾 Record inspections and report defects accurately
🏗️ Support maintenance and improvement works
🚨 Respond to emergency call-outs when required
🤝 Work with engineers, foreman & contractors
⚙️ What You'll Bring
Practical engineering / maintenance experience
🔥 Welding and fabrication skills (desirable)
🧠 Strong awareness of health & safety
🚤 Ability to work in a marine / outdoor environment
📋 Good record keeping & communication skills
