🧭 The Role
As Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly by sourcing materials efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Raising and managing purchase orders and call-off orders
- Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
- Managing production shortages and leading shortage meetings
- Preparing and presenting weekly KPI reports on supplier performance and purchase order status
- Maintaining accurate data within SAP and MRP systems
- Monitoring supplier and cost performance against KPIs
- Scheduling orders in line with production plans
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Identifying cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
👤 About You
We are looking for a proactive, organised, and detail-focused individual with a strong passion for procurement and teamwork.
You will ideally have:
- At least 2 years' experience in a Buyer or Procurement role (manufacturing/production environment preferred)
- A relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business (CIPS desirable)
- Experience using SAP and MRP systems
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
