CNC Miller - Setter/Operator (Permanent, Full Time)
This opportunity is with an established precision engineering and mould-making manufacturer supplying the UK and overseas markets. The business operates a modern toolroom and invests in up-to-date CNC machinery to deliver high-quality work and fast turnaround.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce tooling and precision components.
Working from engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications; setting tools, fixtures, work offsets and proving out jobs.
Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection using measurement equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, housekeeping and documentation.
Supporting continuous improvement to reduce scrap/rework and improve output.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
2 years + proven CNC milling setting/operating experience in a toolroom or precision engineering environment.
Strong ability to read technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Confident using measuring equipment and checking own work.
Desirable:
Haas / Fanuc control knowledge (can be trained).
Basic program editing, offsets and tooling optimisation experience.
Experience machining metals and engineering plastics.
