The role
This is an end-to-end machinist role where you'll take ownership from drawing through to finished part:
Program, set and operate CNC machines to produce precision components
Read and interpret engineering drawings and work to specified tolerances
Select suitable tooling, speeds, feeds and machining methods
Inspect your own work and maintain consistent accuracy throughout production
Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to keep jobs progressing
Take responsibility for completing work efficiently and meeting agreed deadlines
Communicate clearly with colleagues to support production and resolve issues promptly
Maintain a safe, tidy and organised working area
What we're looking for
Strong, proven experience in CNC programming, setting and operating
Experience programming, setting and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controls
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and use initiative
Practical, proactive approach to solving problems and getting work completed
Able to balance speed and productivity with accuracy, quality and safe working practices
Reliable, hardworking and confident taking responsibility for your work
A genuine team player with a positive, professional attitude and openness to feedback
What we offer
£40,000 to £45,000 annual salary, depending on skills and experience
