We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to join a well-established and reputable specialist contractor. The business delivers high-quality construction, refurbishment, and roofing projects, with a strong focus on heritage and listed buildings.
This is a key role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of projects from inception through to completion. The position combines both site-based management and office coordination, requiring a proactive and commercially aware individual who can operate with minimal supervision.
Projects are typically high-end refurbishments and extensions, often involving complex heritage works, with values ranging from £500,000 to £1 million.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing multiple construction projects from start to finish
Overseeing contracts, budgets, and cost control
Pricing and managing project variations in collaboration with internal teams
Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinating and managing subcontractors and site teams
Procuring materials and managing supplier relationships
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations across all projects
Programming and scheduling works to meet deadlines
Balancing on-site supervision with office-based planning and reporting
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Proven experience delivering construction projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
Strong background in refurbishment, ideally including heritage or listed buildings
SMSTS qualification
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
Strong commercial awareness, including contracts and variations
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Desirable:
Additional qualifications such as NVQ Level 6, Black Card (or equivalent advanced CSCS)
Strong Health & Safety knowledge and practical application
Experience within specialist construction sectors (e.g. roofing, restoration, or conservation works)
Good IT skills

Full-time, permanent role
Office-based with regular site visits
Working hours: 07:30-17:00 (plus travel as required)
