Van Driver & Installation Operative (Adjustable Beds)

Permanent | Harlow | Salary: £36,738 pa| Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:00-17:00

We are recruiting a Van Driver & Installation Operative for a company specialising in adjustable bed sleep systems, working from their new Harlow site.

This full-time, customer-facing role involves delivering and installing specialist adjustable beds in customers homes across East Anglia and surrounding areas, including London and down to the South Coast (Kent, Sussex and nearby locations).

You will be working in a two-man team and full training will be provided. Occasional overnight trips may be required depending on routes and customer schedules (Possibly twice a month).

A satisfactory DBS check will be required. Candidates must also be comfortable driving into London.

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely drive a company van and complete home deliveries across the region, including London.
  • Deliver adjustable beds into customer properties (including upstairs where required).
  • Assemble, install and demonstrate adjustable bed operation on site.
  • Maintain excellent customer service, polite, professional, punctual and tidy.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects, and complete proof of delivery via paperwork/handheld device.
  • Follow safe manual handling procedures at all times.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering goods to customers homes (essential).
  • Installation/assembly experience (desirable); full training provided.
  • Full UK driving licence (driving licence will be required).
  • Comfortable driving into London and navigating urban routes.
  • Physically fit and confident with heavy/bulky items and team-based work.
  • Satisfactory DBS check required.
