Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, values-driven organisation supporting children and young people within residential care settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker / Team Leader looking to step up, or an existing Deputy Manager seeking a new challenge within a supportive and structured environment.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a residential home, ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding are consistently delivered.

You will play a key role in leading the staff team, supporting young people with complex needs, and ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall management of the residential home
  • Lead, supervise and develop a team of care staff
  • Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and behaviour support
  • Contribute to care planning and risk assessments
  • Support with rota planning and operational organisation
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Liaise with external professionals, families and local authorities
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience within a children's residential care setting
  • Previous experience supervising or leading staff
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations & Quality Standards
  • Experience supporting young people with emotional/behavioural needs
  • Full UK driving licence
