Position Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Factory Operative to join a growing and forward-thinking timber manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a skilled and supportive team With over 50 years of experience producing high-quality structural timber components.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm 40 hours per week (includes 30-minute unpaid break)
Key Responsibilities
Picking and cutting timber for production processes
Assembling structural timber components
Carrying out basic metalwork when required
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Operating timber cutting machinery (full training provided)
Requirements
Own transport is essential due to location
Minimum 2 years' experience in woodwork or a similar field preferred
Side loading FLT is desirable
Experience with timber cutting or machine operation advantageous
Ability to read drawings and work with millimetre precision
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
