Are you passionate about helping children get the best start in life?
We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Family Support Coordinator to join our team and support families with young children across the Folkestone area. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to build trusted relationships with families, deliver engaging activities and provide practical support that helps children and parents thrive.
Working directly with families, volunteers and community partners, you'll play an important role in improving wellbeing, strengthening confidence and creating positive outcomes for children during their crucial early years.

What You'll Be Doing
- Providing one-to-one support to families within the community and home settings
- Assessing family needs and developing tailored support plans
- Delivering early years and child development activities
- Facilitating parent and child groups, workshops and sessions
- Supporting children's social, emotional and developmental progress
- Coordinating and supporting volunteers involved in family programmes
- Maintaining accurate records, case notes and reporting information
- Working closely with schools, health professionals and other partner agencies
- Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
What We're Looking For
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Experience supporting children, families or community-based programmes
- Experience delivering family-centred support or early intervention services
- Knowledge of child development and family wellbeing
- A good understanding of safeguarding practices
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good organisational and administrative abilities
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- A caring, empathetic and professional approach
Desirable Experience
- Coordinating or supporting volunteers
- Delivering group activities, workshops or family sessions
- Working alongside schools, healthcare professionals or community organisations
- Experience within family support, children's services, early help or a similar setting
