HRGO Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company for an experienced Field Service Engineer (Electromechanical). This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical background to join a growing business, working on specialist food

processing and packaging machinery across the UK.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, service and repair electromechanical machinery at customer sites across the UK
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
  • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical controls, motors, drives, sensors and pneumatic systems
  • Service and maintain VFFS machinery and other food processing and packaging equipment
  • Complete service reports and technical documentation accurately following each visit
  • Provide basic operator training and technical support to customers
  • Work closely with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex issues
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers through professional service

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Standard hours with flexibility to meet customer requirements
  • Regular UK travel and overnight stays required
  • Occasional weekend work and overseas travel

About You:

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
  • Previous experience working on food processing or packaging machinery
  • Experience with VFFS machinery would be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems (fault-finding preferred)
  • Experience working with pneumatics, conveyors, drives and sensors
  • Able to interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently
  • Willing to travel extensively and stay away from home when required
