Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the operation of food mixing machines
- Adding and weighing spices and ingredients as instructed
- Feeding raw materials into production lines
- Packing and labelling finished food products
- Labelling boxes ready for dispatch
- Working efficiently on packing and production lines to meet daily targets
- Carrying out visual quality checks on products
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic working environment
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Working Environment
This role is based within a chilled food production facility. Due to the nature of the products being manufactured, there is a noticeable smell similar to a butcher's environment, along with strong aromas of spices and seasonings used during production.
Applicants should be comfortable working in this type of environment.
- Chilled food production environment
- Warm clothing is recommended
- No jewellery or facial piercings permitted on the factory floor
- All PPE provided daily
Pay & Progression
- Starting rate of £12.71 per hour
- Additional £0.30 per hour upon successful transition to a permanent contract
- Additional £0.50 per hour available through machine training and upskilling
- Potential earnings of up to £13.51 per hour
