Role Overview
HRGO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Grader Technician for a well-established fresh produce business based in Chartham, Canterbury. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing grading operations, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and compliance in a fast-paced food production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Setting up and running grading lines in line with the daily production plan
Ensuring fruit quality, sizing, and packaging meet customer specifications
Monitoring staff compliance with hygiene, food safety, and Health & Safety standards
Working closely with QA to maintain grading standards and adjust settings when required
Completing grading reports, waste figures, and end-of-day production summaries
Reporting any equipment issues or damage to management and maintenance teams
Ideal Candidate Will Be
Experienced in a grading, packing, or production role within fresh produce or food manufacturing
Confident overseeing staff and maintaining standards on a busy grading line
Safety-focused with a strong understanding of food hygiene and compliance
Organised, reliable, and able to work well under pressure
Comfortable working shift patterns, including weekends
