Are you an experienced Groundsperson, Groundskeeper, Gardener or Grounds Maintenance Operative looking for your next temporary opportunity in Ashford, Kent?
We're recruiting on behalf of a prestigious independent school for a Groundsperson / Groundskeeper to join their Estates team. Set within beautiful landscaped grounds, this is a varied, hands-on role where you'll help maintain the school's gardens, grounds and wider estate, while also assisting with general maintenance across the site.
No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Grass cutting, mowing and strimming
✔ Hedge cutting, pruning and general gardening duties
✔ Maintaining landscaped gardens, lawns and outdoor spaces
✔ General grounds maintenance and estate upkeep
✔ Assisting with general site maintenance and minor repairs
✔ Keeping pathways, outdoor areas and facilities safe, clean and presentable
Skills & Experience
✔ Previous experience in Grounds Maintenance, Gardening, Landscaping, Estates, Caretaking, Facilities or Site Maintenance is preferred
✔ Experience using grounds maintenance equipment is advantageous
✔ A practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
✔ Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team
✔ Takes pride in delivering high standards of presentation
Pay & Benefits
