HGV Class 2 Driver / Loader (Dustcart)
Ongoing Temporary Assignment
Pay Rate: £14.15 - £16.59 per hour + enhanced overtime & bank holiday rates
(rate may vary depending on the size/type of vehicle driven.)
Shift Pattern: Shifts between 06:00-20:00, Sunday to Saturday (rota'd)

Overview
We're recruiting HGV Class 2 Driver/Loaders to join a busy environmental services team supporting local waste, recycling and cleansing operations. This is a hands-on role combining driving with loading duties, ideal for reliable drivers who want steady, ongoing work. Newly qualified drivers are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a Class 2 (Category C) dustcart as part of a professional collection crew
- Follow planned routes to collect household waste and recycling
- Support wider environmental services as required, including:
- Waste & Recycling
- Beach Cleansing
- Street Cleansing
- Assist with loading duties when required (good level of fitness essential)
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report defects in line with site procedures
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category C / Class 2)
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Waste vehicle experience is beneficial but not essential
- A reliable, flexible, hardworking attitude and strong team working skills
