HR Officer - Employee Relations

📍 Location: Ramsgate, Kent

🕒 Hours: 22.5 hours per week

📄 Contract: Temp to Perm

💰 Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE)

We are excited to be working with our client who are looking for an experienced HR Officer - Employee Relations to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident HR professional with strong employee relations expertise to take ownership of complex and sensitive casework and provide trusted advice to managers across the organisation.

Reporting to the Business Administration Manager and working alongside the HR Assistant, you will take ownership of complex and sensitive employee relations casework and provide trusted advice to managers across the organisation.

What you'll be doing:

    • Managing complex disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases
    • Conducting workplace investigations and producing high-quality reports
    • Providing practical, legally sound HR advice to managers and senior leaders
    • Supporting employment tribunal cases and ACAS early conciliation
    • Advising on employment law, equality and workplace adjustments
    • Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures
    • Coaching and supporting managers to confidently handle people issues

What we're looking for:

    • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) qualified
    • Significant experience managing complex Employee Relations cases
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
    • Experience conducting workplace investigations
    • Excellent communication, judgement and influencing skills
    • The ability to remain calm, professional and pragmatic in challenging situations
    • A calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
