📍 Locations: Folkestone/Cheriton/Lyminge
📅 Contract: 10-week Temporary - Start ASAP
💷 Pay: £16.64-£18.86 per hour (DOE)
⏰ Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday
🚗 Mileage: Paid at 45p per mile (HMRC rate)

Join our clients friendly Neighbourhoods team as an Independent Living Officer, helping residents live safely, independently and confidently across several vibrant schemes.
🔑 Your Key Responsibilities
👥 Resident Support & Wellbeing
- 💬 Build positive relationships with tenants
- 📞 Make daily/weekly reassurance calls
- 🆗 Checking which tenants have pressed their "I'm OK" lifeline button and contacting those who haven't to ensure their wellbeing
- 🧭 Help residents sustain their tenancy and maintain independence
🏠 Scheme Safety & Compliance
- 🔍 Carry out regular health & safety building checks
- 📸 Complete routine Photobook forms
- 🚨 Ensure telecare/lifeline systems are working correctly
- 🔥 Keep fire boxes updated (certificates, registers, PEEPs, plans)
🤝 Community & Partnership Working
- 🧑🤝🧑 Promote tenant engagement and involvement
- 👮 Collaborate with Police, health services, social care, and voluntary groups
- 🧭 Signpost tenants to helpful agencies and support services
🛠 Scheme Operations & Tenancy Management
- 🏡 Manage voids to minimise empty property times
- 🧹 Oversee cleaning, grounds maintenance, and contractor services
- 📚 Update housing management systems
- ⚖️ Address tenancy breaches, complaints, disputes, and ASB cases
✔️ What We Need from You
- 🚗 Full driving licence + your own car
- 🏘 Background in housing or related customer service roles
- 🛠 Good understanding of building-based Health & Safety
- 🗣 Confident, clear, and empathetic communication skills
🔒 DBS: An Enhanced DBS is desirable. If you don't have one, we'll handle it - with a risk assessment and references from your last 2 employers.
