โฐ Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday
๐Ÿš— Mileage: Paid at 45p per mile (HMRC rate)

Join our clients friendly Neighbourhoods team as an Independent Living Officer, helping residents live safely, independently and confidently across several vibrant schemes.

๐Ÿ”‘ Your Key Responsibilities

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Resident Support & Wellbeing

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Build positive relationships with tenants
  • ๐Ÿ“ž Make daily/weekly reassurance calls
  • ๐Ÿ†— Checking which tenants have pressed their "I'm OK" lifeline button and contacting those who haven't to ensure their wellbeing
  • ๐Ÿงญ Help residents sustain their tenancy and maintain independence

๐Ÿ  Scheme Safety & Compliance

  • ๐Ÿ” Carry out regular health & safety building checks
  • ๐Ÿ“ธ Complete routine Photobook forms
  • ๐Ÿšจ Ensure telecare/lifeline systems are working correctly
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Keep fire boxes updated (certificates, registers, PEEPs, plans)

๐Ÿค Community & Partnership Working

  • ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ Promote tenant engagement and involvement
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฎ Collaborate with Police, health services, social care, and voluntary groups
  • ๐Ÿงญ Signpost tenants to helpful agencies and support services

๐Ÿ›  Scheme Operations & Tenancy Management

  • ๐Ÿก Manage voids to minimise empty property times
  • ๐Ÿงน Oversee cleaning, grounds maintenance, and contractor services
  • ๐Ÿ“š Update housing management systems
  • โš–๏ธ Address tenancy breaches, complaints, disputes, and ASB cases

โœ”๏ธ What We Need from You

  • ๐Ÿš— Full driving licence + your own car
  • ๐Ÿ˜ Background in housing or related customer service roles
  • ๐Ÿ›  Good understanding of building-based Health & Safety
  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ Confident, clear, and empathetic communication skills

๐Ÿ”’ DBS: An Enhanced DBS is desirable. If you don't have one, we'll handle it - with a risk assessment and references from your last 2 employers.
