Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Around 16-20 hours per week
Contract: Temporary / Ongoing
Location: Rural venue near Ashford
Own transport essential

We're recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join a beautiful countryside wedding and events venue near Ashford.

This is an ongoing position, with hours varying depending on weddings and events taking place.

The Role

Duties will include:

  • Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment
  • Keeping kitchen and washing-up areas clean and tidy
  • Cleaning floors, surfaces and equipment
  • Emptying bins and managing waste
  • Supporting the chefs and wider kitchen team
  • Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures

Hours

Shifts will vary depending on events, but will generally:

  • Start between 12:00pm and 2:00pm
  • Usually finish around 7:00pm
  • Occasionally finish as late as 10:00pm
  • Fall across both weekdays and weekends

Some weeks will be busier than others.

What We're Looking For

You'll need to be:

  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Comfortable in a busy kitchen environment
  • Flexible with working days and hours
  • Happy with a physical, hands-on role

Previous Kitchen Porter or catering experience would be helpful but isn't essential.

Please note: own transport is essential due to the rural location and limited public transport.
