The purpose of the role is to support the production process in producing all lasered and folded components used for the manufacturing of products within the company's portfolio.
About the role:
To read and understand CAD manufacturing drawings.
To programme and operate CNC Laser / Folding Machines.
To produce various items from small, complex batches of components to large panels, all to high quality standards.
General maintenance of Laser / Folding machines, relacing specific parts, nozzles, lenses etc.
To support the Stores Team Leader, with the stock control of raw materials and stock components to avoid stock shortages.
Provide production timings as required by the business.
In conjunction with the Operations Manager, ensure that planned maintenance programs are carried out in a timely manner, minimising where possible, the amount of down time to avoid interruption to manufacturing programmes and schedules.
Removing and cleaning of finished parts ready for Production.
Upon request or at regular intervals, provide the senior management team with status or progress reports on departmental activities and issues as well as ideas and suggestions where efficiencies can be implemented.
Person specification:
Proven experience in a similar role
Great communication skills
Good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
Previous welding and grinding experience would be advantageous
