Licensed Aircraft Engineers required for busy corporate Jet MRO - B2 on days, B1 on Nights and a AOG/Line Engineer (B1 and/or B2) on days. All roles work on a 5 -5 - 4 - 4 shift on 12 hr days and require UK CAA licences and corporate Jet types (e.g. Embraer, Bombardier).

Across all roles, you will manage and certify aircraft maintenance inputs and projects for aircraft under the companies Part 145 control, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time and in full compliance with company approvals and the MOE. You may also be customer-facing so maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service.

Key Responsibilities (all roles)

  • Manage day-to-day aircraft/base maintenance inputs and projects (scheduled and non-scheduled).
  • Certify maintenance tasks in line with your current licence privileges, company approvals and the MOE.
  • Lead and direct assigned engineers of various skills, ensuring financial, commercial and engineering targets are met.
  • Communicate progress via daily reports and meetings; ensure robust shift handovers.
  • Liaise with hangar management on progress, manpower, critical path and third-party requirements.
  • Work closely with support services for spares procurement, shortage reports, repairs and technical information.
  • Authorise repair requests and high-cost spares within delegated authority.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety, Quality and company procedures.
  • Monitor the quality of scheduled and non-routine work cards to enable timely release to service.
  • Continuously seek improvements to maximise productivity and minimise cost.

Additional AOG & Line Responsibilities (Line & AOG Engineer)

  • Remain fully prepared to travel at short notice for AOG and line maintenance support.
  • Maintain the highest standards of communication with customers and operations while deployed.
  • Take full responsibility for the AOG response vehicle: appearance, equipping, stock control and replenishment.

Authorities

  • Authority over staff within your area of responsibility.
  • Authority to request and provide assistance to the Head of Maintenance and other departments.

Candidate Requirements

  • Recognised apprenticeship and substantial experience in base and/or line/AOG maintenance.
  • Full, unrestricted B1 or B2 licence as appropriate to the role (B2 engineers must have electrical privileges).
  • A and C licences, and engine ground run approval highly desirable; ability to hold engine run-up approval for company types.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage resources effectively and lead small technical teams.
  • Strong leadership, advanced written and oral communication, and excellent interpersonal skills.
