Mechanical Fitter & Installation Engineer

Global Travel | £40,000 - £45,000 PA + OTE £70,000 PA+

(Paid Overtime, Site Allowances & Travel Expenses)

Location: Harlow, Essex | International Travel | Permanent Role

Are you a hands-on Mechanical Fitter looking for a role that combines workshop precision with global adventure?

Join a fast-growing manufacturer of special-purpose machinery, where you'll build complex conveyor systems at our client's Harlow site and travel internationally to install and commission equipment at customer locations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assembling bespoke machinery from detailed engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics.

  • Installing, commissioning, and testing systems at customer sites worldwide.

  • Performing mechanical tasks: drilling, tapping, cutting, fitting.

  • Fitting motors, gearboxes, bearings, drive shafts, and pipework.

  • Ensuring machinery is levelled and aligned to spec.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong mechanical assembly and machine fitting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
  • Skilled in mechanical alignment and precision fitting.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work overtime.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical apprenticeship or vocational qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC).

This position is based in the West Essex area and commutable from Colchester, Stevenage, Chelmsford, Bishops Stortford, Cambridge, Basildon, East London or North London.
