HRGO is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy production site. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives on fault-finding, preventative maintenance and improving machine reliability across a range of mechanical, electrical and automated equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to production machinery.
- Diagnose and rectify faults across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated control systems.
- Use CMMS to raise, record and close work orders, log spares usage and update machine history.
- Support installation, commissioning and modification of plant and equipment.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, risk assessments and permits; work in accordance with health & safety procedures.
- Provide technical input for spare parts strategies and participate in fault analysis and root cause investigations.
Essential skills and qualifications
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience using CMMS systems to manage maintenance activities.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with automated systems (PLC/controls) and integration with mechanical systems.
- Good mechanical fitting skills and the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
