Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: Rhyl

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off - (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00)

Salary: £57,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Engineer with a strong Electrical bias to join a well established manufacturing business.

This role would suit an experienced engineer who enjoys hands on fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role:

Working as part of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting the ongoing improvement of site reliability.

Key responsibilities will include:

    • Carrying out planned preventative and predictive maintenance
    • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime
    • Supporting mechanical fault finding and repairs
    • Completing breakdown repairs and root cause analysis
    • Supporting the installation, commissioning and modification of equipment
    • Maintaining critical spares and engineering records
    • Supporting continuous improvement and energy reduction initiatives
    • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures

The candidate:

We're looking for a qualified or time served Engineer with strong fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment.

You should have:

    • Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
    • Electrical Engineering qualification or time-served experience
    • Mechanical or multi-skilled engineering experience would be advantageous
    • Experience using CMMS systems
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Experience within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing would be desirable
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • A strong commitment to health and safety
