Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer- YEOVIL

£40k-£50k DoE
A well-known business in Yeovil is looking for someone with a high level of mechanical skills, if you have electrical as well great, we want to hear from you.
Are you currently an electrical or mechanical maintenance engineer or are you a mechanic or ex Mechanic looking to transfer industries and use the skills you have and learn new ones?
My client is willing to train and pay for additional mechanical or electrical knowledge for the right person.
DUTIES of Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Carry out checks and thermal inspections on production machinery
- Carry out TPM and respond to reactive maintenance requirements
- Work efficiently to ensure all works are completed in a safe manner and to Health and Safety regulations
- Conduct relevant repairs or improvements and carry out preventative maintenance on equipment
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and other engineering problems
- Accurately complete all engineering documentation required
- Diagnosing of Process controls (Siemens or Allen Bradley), PLCS, 18thedition is desirable
- Knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems a bonus
Performance Criteria of Maintenance Engineer:
Maintenance of protective clothing and general appearance.
Maintain work office, tool/spare parts store, work benches, and all records in a tidy, orderly fashion.
Accurate, immediate, and legible completion of all documentation.
Minimise machinery/equipment failure through neglect.
Conformance to company procedures.
Maintain a positive attitude and relationship with customers and colleagues.
Punctuality and effective use of company time.
Maintain an excellent attendance record
The Ideal Candidate:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good eye for detail
- Ability to maintain performance and work effectively under pressure
- Engineering qualification NVQ level or above (ideally apprenticeship served)
- Good knowledge of mechanical/ maintenance engineering
- Welding certificate (ideal but not essential)
- A self-starter who enjoys the challenges presented by complex machinery
- Bright and technically sound individual with a commercial outlook
- Enthusiastic and clear thinking
- Embraces change and continuously looks for ways to make improvements

On call every other week, when on call get paid min 3 hours, even if on site for 30 mins plus in later next day if called out. Time paid at time 1.5
