Technical Operator

Are you mechanically minded, great at fixing problems and looking for your next opportunity with a well-established food manufacturer?

We're looking for a Technical Operator who enjoys getting stuck in, solving problems and keeping production running smoothly. If you have experience fixing machinery, fault finding or working in a fast-paced production environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Night Shifts: 4 on/4 off 7pm - 7am

What you'll be doing

As a Technical Operator, you'll be the first point of contact when production lines stop, using your mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills to get things moving again.

  • Carry out mechanical fault finding, repairs and adjustments
  • Support line set-ups and changeovers
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and production issues
  • Support PPM and work alongside the Engineering team
  • Help identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Complete quality, hygiene, HACCP and H&S checks
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and lead by example
  • Help support and coach other operators

What we're looking for

We're looking for a Technical Operator who is:

  • Confident fixing machinery and carrying out fault finding
  • Practical, hands-on and able to think calmly under pressure
  • A strong communicator who can work well across different teams
  • Comfortable taking ownership and showing leadership
  • Experienced in manufacturing, engineering or production - food/FMCG experience is desirable

We'll be holding a full-day assessment on Monday 26th October, giving you the opportunity to meet the team, find out more about the role and experience the working environment for yourself.

Lunch will be provided on the day.
