Role: Operations & Fulfilment Manager Location: Wigan Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum depending on experience
HRGO Recruitment are working with a growing SME that is strengthening its internal operations function and looking to appoint an Operations & Fulfilment Manager.
This is a broad, hands-on operational role with responsibility for warehouse performance, stock control, supplier coordination and outbound logistics. The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing structure, consistency and improved process control to a scaling environment.
The business has experienced steady growth and is now focused on improving operational efficiency, tightening stock management and formalising fulfilment processes. This role offers the chance to take ownership of that function and build it properly. You will be the central point of coordination between suppliers, warehouse activity and delivery scheduling.
The role:
Managing daily warehouse activity and workflow
Supervising product preparation and quality checks prior to dispatch
Overseeing goods in, stock accuracy and storage organisation
Planning and booking outbound shipments
Monitoring supplier performance and inbound deliveries
Coordinating external contractors linked to customer fulfilment
Implementing practical systems to improve efficiency and reduce errors
Conducting stock reviews and managing replenishment cycles
Identifying cost-saving opportunities across logistics and purchasing
The candidate
3+ years' experience in operations, warehouse or supply chain roles
Experience managing stock and working with suppliers
Confidence overseeing dispatch and logistics
A structured, organised and process-driven mindset
A proactive, improvement focused approach
