Overview: We are recruiting a reliable packer to join a busy production team. The role involves preparing and packing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality, and working safely to meet daily targets. This is a hands-on position suited to practical, hardworking individuals.
Key responsibilities: - Accurately pick and pack products to order specifications - Check items for quality, correct quantities and proper labelling - Securely pack products to prevent damage in transit - Follow packing specifications, health & safety and quality procedures - Maintain a clean, organised work area and report any issues to supervisors - Work efficiently to meet productivity targets and deadlines
Required skills and experience: - Proven experience in packing or similar warehouse roles - Competent in safe manual handling techniques and comfortable performing routine lifting and carrying tasks - Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure - Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team - Basic numeracy and ability to follow written instructions - Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings or weekends if required
Physical requirements: - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20kg safely (adjustments considered where reasonable)
