Paralegal/Legal Assistant

The Opportunity
HRGO Recruitment are seeing an experienced Non-Fee Earning Paralegal / Legal Support Assistant to join a busy and well-regarded Residential Property team.
This role would suit an organised, proactive individual with previous experience supporting a residential conveyancing department, who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
You will provide essential legal and administrative support across a varied caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and managing files in line with regulatory and firm procedures.
- Organising, maintaining and tracking files to ensure matters progress efficiently.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and third parties throughout the conveyancing process.
- Drafting correspondence, legal forms and documentation for review by the supervising fee earner.
- Carrying out legal research and preparing information for client matters.
- Meeting with clients, taking instructions and preparing documentation accordingly.
- Supporting fee earners with effective systems and case management processes.
- Preparing financial documentation and analysing financial ledgers.
- Assisting with completion and post-completion matters.
- Managing Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions.
- Maintaining accurate diary and deadline management.
- Providing general administrative support to the Residential Property team.
- Greeting clients and handling telephone enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating a consistently high level of attention to detail.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Has at least 1 year of experience supporting a residential conveyancing/property team.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Confident managing multiple priorities and time-sensitive work.
- An excellent communicator with strong client-facing skills.
- Comfortable dealing with clients and third parties professionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using legal/case management systems.
- Able to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Keen to develop their career within residential property.
You don't need to have experience across every duty listed above - training and support can be provided where required.
