Roles & Responsibilities
Safely lift, carry and move steel components and finished products.
Carry out basic spray painting duties, including surface preparation and applying coatings as instructed.
Perform grinding, fettling, deburring and surface preparation using hand and power tools.
Support general production activities including packing, labelling and basic assembly.
Carry out basic visual quality inspections and report any defects.
Follow work instructions and health & safety procedures at all times.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the workshop.
Wear the appropriate PPE, including safety boots, gloves, eye and hearing protection, and respirators where required.
Work towards daily production targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Thursday
6:00am - 4:30pm
Four-day working week
About You
Comfortable working in an engineering or manufacturing workshop environment.
Happy carrying out physically demanding, hands-on work.
Able to undertake manual handling and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Willing to carry out basic spray painting and grinding duties safely.
Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
Desirable
Previous experience as a Production Operative.
Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing workshop.
Knowledge of basic quality standards.
Experience using hand and power tools.
