We are currently recruiting for a Production Operator to join a growing manufacturing business based in Reading. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and maintaining high workplace standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of paint products, ensuring all materials are manufactured to precise specifications while following strict quality, health, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Mix paints accurately using standard formulas and bespoke customer specifications
Support colour matching and assist with R&D activities when required
Operate, clean, and maintain mixing machinery and production equipment
Monitor stock levels of consumables and report replenishment requirements
Transfer resins safely and accurately within the production process
Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
Dispose of waste materials in line with company compliance standards
Participate in audits, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintenance & Workplace Standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Ensure all tools, equipment, and workstations are cleaned and stored correctly
Carry out routine checks to support compliance with ISO and company standards
Support efficiency and workplace improvement initiatives
Working Conditions
Exposure to chemicals and paint fumes (full PPE provided)
Standing for extended periods during production tasks
Working in controlled lighting conditions for colour accuracy assessments

This will be a full time role but starting on a temporary basis. After probation period the successful candidate will go onto a permanent contract with the company.
