We are currently recruiting for a Production Operator to join a growing manufacturing business based in Reading. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and maintaining high workplace standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of paint products, ensuring all materials are manufactured to precise specifications while following strict quality, health, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix paints accurately using standard formulas and bespoke customer specifications
  • Support colour matching and assist with R&D activities when required
  • Operate, clean, and maintain mixing machinery and production equipment
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and report replenishment requirements
  • Transfer resins safely and accurately within the production process
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
  • Dispose of waste materials in line with company compliance standards
  • Participate in audits, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Maintenance & Workplace Standards

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and workstations are cleaned and stored correctly
  • Carry out routine checks to support compliance with ISO and company standards
  • Support efficiency and workplace improvement initiatives

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to chemicals and paint fumes (full PPE provided)
  • Standing for extended periods during production tasks
  • Working in controlled lighting conditions for colour accuracy assessments

This will be a full time role but starting on a temporary basis. After probation period the successful candidate will go onto a permanent contract with the company.
