We are looking for a Production Operator for our long-established and respected manufacturing business based in Glasgow.

They are a highly people-focused organisation that believe in investing in their workforce through excellent training, support and development.

We are currently looking to recruit a Production Operative to join the production team, working days or other various shift patterns available.

This role would suit someone who is looking to establish themselves as a committed, long-term member of staff, with the ambition to build a stable career in manufacturing where progression and development are actively supported.

The Role

Reporting to the Production First Line Manager, you will operate machinery to produce high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner. You will work closely with fellow production operators and the maintenance team to ensure high standards across safety, quality and productivity.

Production Operator - Chemical Plating

We are working with a well-established precision engineering company based in Glasgow who are looking to recruit a Production Operator to join their specialist plating team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, process-driven work and takes pride in quality, accuracy and teamwork. While plating experience is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for operating manual chemical plating lines, supporting the production of high-quality precision components across a range of specialist coatings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual chemical plating lines including:
    • Zinc
    • Zinc-Nickel
    • Electroless Nickel
    • Gold & Silver
  • Monitor production tanks, carrying out analysis and making chemical additions as required
  • Perform X-ray testing to check coating thickness
  • Accurately complete job cards and production documentation
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support other departments when required
  • Act professionally when dealing directly or indirectly with customers
  • Contribute positively to a respectful, inclusive team environment

  • Experience working to high quality standards on precision components (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous plating or manufacturing experience advantageous but not required
