An excellent opportunity has arisen for an EC&I Project Engineer to join a growing organisation delivering projects across the UK's gas and energy infrastructure sector.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation projects from concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of EC&I projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines.
  • Review technical documentation, specifications, and design deliverables.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, risk management, and progress reporting.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and other risk assessment workshops.
  • Support commissioning, start-up, and project handover activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with relevant industry standards and procedures.

About You

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience within the gas, energy, utilities, oil & gas, chemical, or wider process industries.
  • Knowledge of EC&I systems, industrial automation, and engineering project delivery.
  • Understanding of process safety principles and safety-critical environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting commissioning activities and multidisciplinary project teams is advantageous.
