Shift Quality Auditor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Quality Auditor to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This role offers the chance to work within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment, supporting high standards across production and assembly operations.

The Role

Reporting into the Quality team, you will be responsible for carrying out inspection, testing, and auditing activities to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.

You will play a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting production teams, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret technical drawings and product specifications
  • Carry out routine audits of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Identify, report, and escalate non-conformities
  • Segregate or remove non-compliant products and materials
  • Measure components using precision tools (e.g. callipers, gauges, micrometres)
  • Operate inspection and testing equipment
  • Conduct routine and ad hoc product testing
  • Record and analyse quality data (e.g. weights, temperatures, moisture levels)
  • Support continuous improvement and corrective action processes
  • Audit production areas for housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and records

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment within an ISO-based Quality Management System
  • Knowledge of injection moulding and manual assembly processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Basic IT skills for recording and reporting data

Working Hours

4-on, 4-off shift pattern (12-hour shifts):

  • Days: 6:00am - 6:00pm
  • Nights: 6:00pm - 6:00am
