Job Title: Sales & Customer Service Administrator

Location & Hours
Wincanton (onsite)
37 hours per week: Mon-Thurs 9:00am-5:30pm; Fri 9:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch each day)

Salary & Benefits
£26,000-£28,000 per annum (depending on skills, experience and responsibilities), plus:

About Us
We're recruiting on behalf of a family-owned manufacturing business based in Wincanton. They're looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused administrator to join their friendly Sales Office team, supporting customers and internal colleagues to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using business systems

  • Prepare quotations and follow up where appropriate

  • Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email, providing professional support

  • Advise customers on product selection, availability, pricing and delivery schedules

  • Keep customers informed of changes to orders (pricing, lead times, delivery updates)

  • Direct enquiries to the right colleague when specialist technical support is required

  • Support Area Sales Managers and Key Account customers to deliver an excellent experience

  • Maintain accurate customer records and contribute to smooth day-to-day Sales Office operations

  • General office administration and filing

  • Work collaboratively across the business to support quality standards, procedures and Health & Safety

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in customer service, sales administration or office administration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner

  • Strong organisation skills with high attention to detail and accurate data entry

  • Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and work to deadlines

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Positive, proactive, flexible approach; able to work independently and as part of a team
