Location: North West (Field-Based - UK Travel Required)
Salary / Rate: £NEG DOE + Training + Progression

Overview
We are recruiting for a skilled Security Door Joiner to join a growing engineering consultancy. This role involves installing heavy-duty aluminium security doors and associated systems across railway stations and commercial environments throughout the UK.

The ideal candidate will have strong joinery experience combined with the ability to work on bespoke, heavy-duty security installations in a field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of aluminium security doors within rail and commercial environments
  • Measure, prepare, and fit security doors according to technical drawings and site specifications
  • Work with heavy-duty door systems and specialist security hardware
  • Fit hinges, locks, handles, seals, and associated components with precision
  • Use hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and securing door frames
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions
  • Carry out on-site adjustments to ensure correct alignment and functionality
  • Collaborate with engineers and other trades on complex installations
  • Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet required standards
  • Travel to client sites across the UK
  • Maintain safe working practices and adhere to health & safety regulations
  • Keep work areas clean and organised on site

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Joiner, Door Installer, or Window/Door Fitter
  • Experience working with aluminium door systems (security doors desirable)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong joinery and installation skills
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
  • Experience working with heavy materials and large door assemblies
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Good communication skills when working on client sites
  • Physically fit due to lifting and installation requirements
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
