This role keeps a busy national field service team running smoothly day to day. You'll organise technician diaries, respond to changing priorities, and act as the main link between customers, technicians and internal teams to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage daily/weekly schedules for mobile field technicians, optimising routes and utilisation

  • Triage urgent call outs and breakdowns, balancing SLA commitments and customer expectations

  • Rebook and reshuffle appointments when availability, parts, access or priorities change

  • Liaise with customers to book visits, confirm attendance windows and verify site access requirements

  • Proactively update customers on ETAs, delays, reschedules and any changes to the plan

  • Create, update and maintain work orders/job records within the service management system

  • Ensure customer, site and contact details are accurate and kept up to date

  • Prepare and issue job packs, visit notes and clear instructions for technicians

  • Provide real time support to technicians throughout the day, resolving scheduling conflicts and issues

  • Confirm parts and materials are available before attendance; coordinate with stores/procurement on stock

  • Arrange replenishment of technician vehicle stock where needed

  • Produce quotations for additional work identified on site and set up follow up visits

  • Close completed jobs and ensure documentation is in place to support invoicing

What we're looking for

  • Experience in scheduling, planning, dispatch or coordination (field service environment ideal)

  • Strong organisation and time management skills in a fast moving setting

  • Confident, professional communication skills with a customer first approach

  • Able to prioritise competing demands and stay calm under pressure

  • High attention to detail and accuracy with job records and customer information

  • Comfortable using MS Office and service/CRM-style systems

  • Practical problem solver who works well with multiple internal teams and remote technicians
