🏟 Seasonal Sports Hut Attendant
📍 Location: East Cliff, Folkestone & Hythe District
📅 Contract: Seasonal (Easter - 30th September) Full-time
⏰ Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)
💰 Salary: £13.14 per hour * from 1st April £13.91
📌 Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Attendant to join our Local Authority team! You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and upkeep of Pitch & Putt, golf, tennis, and bowls facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all users.
The ideal candidate will hold a full driving licence, be customer-focused, and have a passion for sport and recreation. A Standard DBS check will be carried out and previous employment & character references will be obtained.
Full availability throughout the busy season (Easter to September) is essential.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
⚠️ Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations
🏟 Opening and closing sports facilities
🗣 Engaging with customers in a professional and friendly manner
🎟 Handling card-only transactions including ticket sales and equipment hire
🔍 Monitoring facility use and enforcing rules and safety procedures
🛠 Inspecting sports equipment and reporting faults or damage
📅 Assisting with sports events, tournaments, and activities
🧹 Cleaning duties including litter picking, bin emptying, and waste management
📢 Reporting issues or concerns to supervisors
🔄 Working flexibly to meet operational needs
✅ Skills & Requirements
🚗 Full, clean driving licence
📝 DBS check (or willingness to apply)
⚽ Interest or experience in sports and recreation (preferred but not essential)
🗣 Excellent customer service and communication skills
⚙️ Basic computer and card transaction skills
⏳ Reliable, flexible, and available to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
