Stainless Steel Finishing Operative - Metal Polisher

  • Rate: £15.00 p/hr (£30,420 pa) + Overtime (£22.50 p/hr)
  • Location: St. Neots - Cambourne, area - Own transport recommended due to location
  • Hours: 39 hours/week, Monday to Friday
  • Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Overtime: Paid at x1.5 hourly rate (Mon-Fri & Sat AM)

We're partnering with a respected engineering company in the Cambourne- St. Neots area to recruit a skilled Stainless Steel Finishing Operative - Metal Polisher to join their team.

About the Role:
In this hands-on position, you'll be working with stainless steel components used in high-end processing machinery. Your responsibilities will include polishing and fettling to achieve a range of finishes such as satin, mirror, shot blast, and Scotch-Brite. Work will primarily be based in the workshop, with occasional site visits.

What You'll Need:

  • Solid experience in metal polishing and fettling, particularly with stainless steel
  • Knowledge of industrial finishing techniques and tools
  • Comfortable working with large machinery and collaborating within a team
  • Willingness to travel for occasional on-site work

Working Hours:

  • Monday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Wednesday - Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 12:00pm (overtime available)
