Support Worker - Young People
Location: Kent - Various locations
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks
Mileage: 55p per mile

Are you passionate about helping young people and making a genuine difference to their lives?
We are looking for a Support Worker to work with young people aged 16-18 who are living independently across Kent. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is kind, patient, understanding and passionate about helping young people develop their confidence and independence.
The Role
You will provide practical, day-to-day support to young people as they learn to manage living independently.
This could include helping with simple but important tasks such as:
- Supporting someone to open a bank account
- Helping with washing up and household tasks
- Supporting with daily routines and organisation
- Helping young people develop independent living skills
- Providing encouragement and guidance
- Supporting young people with tasks they may find difficult
- Building positive and professional relationships
- Encouraging confidence, independence and life skills
You will work across a Kent catchment area, so you must be comfortable travelling to different locations. Mileage will be paid at 55p per mile.
About You
We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference and understands the importance of providing young people with patient, respectful and consistent support.
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people aged 16-18
- Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or additional support needs
- Enhanced DBS already in place
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to travel across Kent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Kind, patient and understanding approach
- Reliable and responsible
- Genuine passion for supporting young people
