We're recruiting a hands-on Town Maintenance Operative to support outdoor upkeep across Dover, Deal and Sandwich. This is a temporary role working Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week), paying £13.00 per hour + mileage reimbursement. You must have your own vehicle due to travel between locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Grounds maintenance including mowing, strimming, trimming and planting
- Sweeping and litter-picking to keep streets and public areas clean and safe
- Weeding, painting and supporting seasonal improvement works
- Helping maintain welcoming parks, green spaces and public areas
- Engaging courteously with members of the public as a positive local ambassador
- Travelling between sites in Dover, Deal and Sandwich
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (essential)
- Reliable, physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Friendly, approachable and community-minded
- Grounds/maintenance experience helpful
