We are partnering with a well-established logistics client in Headcorn who is looking to add an experienced Yard/Warehouse Operative to their team. This role offers consistent hours, varied duties, and the chance to work within a busy and supportive yard environment.
Position Details
Location: Headcorn
Shift Start: 06:00
Daily Hours: Minimum 8 hours (potential to extend to 10-12 hours when required)
What We're Looking For
To be considered, candidates must hold a valid forklift licence and have solid experience operating within a warehouse or yard setting. You will also need experience with:
Loading groupage
Double stacking pallets
Unloading from the upper deck of double-decker trailers
Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
What the Role Involves
The successful applicant will support daily yard and warehouse operations, carrying out tasks such as:
Beginning the shift at 06:00
Unloading double-decker trailers on arrival
Scanning pallets and completing stock checks
Loading vans, 7.5T, 18T, and artic vehicles
Safely manoeuvring trailers and vehicles within the yard
General housekeeping and maintaining a tidy, safe working environment
Undertaking occasional ad-hoc tasks
Reloading returning vehicles as needed
Assisting with evening loading for double-deckers, including scanning and securing curtains
